The course prepares students for the fields of activity of dramaturgy in drama and music theatre. Dramaturges have a diverse range of tasks, the individual parts of which contribute significantly to the artistic profile of a theatre, a festival, an independent venue or group. They possess extensive knowledge of art and culture, an interest in social, political and philosophical contexts, experience in the analysis and evaluation of aesthetic objects, and a high level of communicative competence in spoken and written form. The ability to manage projects and intercultural skills are becoming increasingly important in dramaturgical practice. Graduates of the course can therefore find a future field of activity beyond the theatre in very different areas (media, journalism, education, science).
