“Dramaturgy is one thing above all: extremely diverse. Dramaturgs create, analyse, adapt and contextualise stage works. They initiate and support play development and rehearsal processes. They communicate concerns, structures and artistic approaches both internally and externally. They communicate and document artistic processes. They seek to engage with the world in all genres and forms.”
Prof. Dr. Barbara Gronau
Former Head of the Dramaturgy course and President of the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding
