What is it about?

If you want to work in cultural journalism, you have to keep a cool head in the stream of data and languages, symbols and artistic forms of expression. Attitude and curiosity, speed and humour, creativity and unlimited thinking are required to untangle the linguistic confusion of our present. The Master's programme, which was launched in 2023, provides comprehensive preparation for these requirements, both in terms of skill as well as media and cultural analysis.

Cooperation Partner

The Master's course in Arts and Cultural Journalism is part of the cooperation model of the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding and the University of Music and Theatre Munich

Hochschule für Musik und Theater München
“Everyone is talking. In foyers, tweets and talk shows. About world views, opinions and positions. Everyone is talking – and cultural journalists are talking non-stop. They inspire, moderate and criticise the debates in society.”
Prof. Dorte Lena Eilers
Head of the Arts and Cultural Journalism program at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding
