The Course of Scenography and Stage Costume Design at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich starts in the winter semester and is offered in cooperation with the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding.
Requirements for the application are:
- Submission of a portfolio of artistic work, which does not necessarily have to be of a theatrical nature, but should deal with spatial ideas and developments in a contemporary context
- Successful completion of the practical and oral admission exam
- General or artistic university entrance qualification
- If no professional qualification is available, proof of at least eight weeks of practical experience in a relevant profession must be provided.
The deadline for submitting the portfolio is 15 May each year. If this day falls on a Sunday or public holiday, then on the working day before. The Student Secretariat of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich accepts complete applications from March of each year.
